台電明潭發電廠

台電明潭發電廠位於南投縣水里鄉車埕，坐落於日月潭西側水里溪溪谷，為目前台灣最大的水力發電廠，以日月潭為上池、明潭水庫為下池，共裝置六部豎軸法蘭西斯可逆式水輪發電機組，總裝置容量達 160.2 萬瓩（1,600MW），每年發電量約 24 億度。 完工商轉後不僅可增加尖峰發電達 160 萬千瓦，更可有效吸收儲存夜間離峰的剩餘電力，對台電改善供電品質有極大助益。 面對電廠機電設備對冷卻系統穩定性與可靠度的高度要求，明潭發電廠導入金日 HKD 冷卻塔，憑藉其卓越的工業級散熱效能與耐用穩固的結構設計，有效支援廠區機電設備的冷卻需求，確保發電機組全天候安全穩定運行，為台灣電力供應的穩定與能源調度的靈活性提供堅實的設備保障。

Taiwan Power Company — Mingtan Power Plant

Taiwan Power Company's Mingtan Power Plant, located in Checheng, Shuili Township, Nantou County — on the western side of Sun Moon Lake — is currently Taiwan's largest hydroelectric power plant. Using Sun Moon Lake as the upper reservoir and Mingtan Reservoir as the lower pool, the facility operates six reversible Francis-type generating units with a total installed capacity of 1,600 MW and an annual power generation of approximately 2.4 billion kWh. Since its commercial operation, the plant not only increases peak-hour power generation by up to 1.6 million kilowatts, but also effectively absorbs and stores surplus off-peak electricity at night — making a significant contribution to improving power supply quality for Taiwan Power Company. To meet the stringent reliability and stability demands placed on the plant's electromechanical equipment cooling systems, Mingtan Power Plant adopted KING SUN's HKD Cooling Tower.
